About payment QR codes

A payment code is a link to a checkout, invoice or tipping page you have already set up with your payment provider. Scanning it opens that page, where the person pays as they would from a link in an email. Market stalls, invoices, tip jars and donation boxes use it to take payments without a card reader.

QRacker does not process payments or hold any account details. It encodes the link you paste, exactly as typed. The code is built in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to a server, and nothing is saved between visits.

It is a static code: the content is encoded in the pattern itself, so it never expires, has no scan limit, and needs no account.

Which payment providers work?

Any that gives you a shareable link: a checkout page, a payment request, a tipping page or a donation form. If it opens in a browser, it works from a code.

Is a payment code safe to print?

The code holds only the link. Payment happens on your provider’s secure page, and the person sees the address before paying, so a printed code is as safe as the link itself.

Can I set the amount?

Only through your payment provider. Make a link with a fixed amount there, then encode that link.
